Lotus is back in Formula One for the first time since the early nineties and to celebrate they’ve announced a new car. But don’t get too excited, it’s not the new Lotus Esprit or even the Lotus Evora Convertible. It’s yet another Lotus Exige, this time the Lotus Exige S Type 72.

This is the Exiga, Subaru’s rather straightlaced seven-seat people carrier, designed to bridge the gap between the current Legacy and Tribeca. Based on existing Legacy architecture, the Exiga has a long 2750mm wheelbase, and at 4750mm long, 1775mm wide and 1660mm high, it’s roughly the same size as Ford’s S-Max. There’s a choice of two engines – both 2.0-litre petrols and both flat fours.
The late Sergio Pininfarina will be honored in a three-month special exhibition at the Ferrari museum in Maranello, Italy, from 26 October. The ‘Grandi Ferrari di Sergio Pininfarina' – Sergio Pininfarina's great Ferraris – exhibition will feature his classic designs and current Pininfarina evolutions in three halls: Concept Cars, Motorsports and Grand Touring Cars. The Concept Hall will be filled with famous designs such as the Modulo, the P6 and the four-door Pinin concept.
